Ulrike Barth – Occupational Therapist

Ulrike is a passionate and versatile Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience in various health settings and specialities.

Ulrike graduated in Germany in 2001 and has been working in the UK since 2004. She developed an extensive amount of experience in physical health in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as in the community, before specialising in Neuroscience.

Ulrike is passionate about her skills and knowledge working in Neurology and Stroke with her priority focus on the individual needs of the client to achieve their full potential.

Since 2019 she worked alongside Neuropsychiatry at the Rosa Burden Centre and has developed her passion for working with clients with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). She acknowledges the often challenging journey of clients who do not feel well understood by the health system, and applies a neurorehabilitation model to her work under the assertion that everyone with Functional Neurological Disorder has potential to improve with the appropriate treatment plan.

Ulrike also works in the Hand Rehabilitation Unit and Rheumatology in the Bristol Royal Infirmary. She enjoys working with long term conditions and finding strategies to manage fatigue and pain.

Ulrike is a member of the HCPC and regularly takes CPD opportunities to ensure that her practice meets a high standard and is evidence based. She is also part of the AHP FND network and keeps up to date with the latest research.
