Description:

Evoke is a private community-based rehabilitation facility, providing experienced neurological rehabilitation to the Cotswolds & surrounding areas.

Our mission is to work in partnership with you to identify your goals & abilities using comprehensive assessments & an individualized treatment approach. We tailor our treatments to your needs guided by the latest research on neurological conditions, motor learning & the capacity of the brain & spinal cord to recover & adapt.

We are committed to enhancing your rehabilitation experience & recovery. We offer treatment in our clinic in Northleach. We can also meet you in your home, your gym, community centre or at a pool.

Adam & Alessandra have combined their knowledge & backgrounds to cover many aspects of the neuro rehabilitation process. Alessandra graduated from Colegio Universitario de Rehabilitacion “May Hamilton” (University College of Rehabilitation ‘May Hamiltion’) with an Associate degree in Physiotherapy with honours, in 2008. She then continued to further her studies at the Columbus University of Panama by completing her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy with honours, in 2011.

Since 2008, Alessandra has been focusing her practice in the area of neurological rehab in Venezuela. She completed post graduate courses in Myofascial release techniques, soft osteopathy & she is a K-Taping certified therapist.

In 2012, she moved to Canada where she started her Bobath training. Each year since then, she has travelled to the UK to complete the advanced level training in the Bobath Concept.

The continued studies have helped her develop an acute understanding of patients’ assessments, needs & treatment options.

Adam joined the UK military in 1998 until 2013, with the bulk of time served as a Royal Marines Commando. Since 2013, he has competed in the Invictus Games in London, winning silver & bronze in cycling. He has also been a part of ‘Help for Heroes Cycling’ for a number of events including ‘Race Across America’ in 2017.

His military service has provided exposure to a wide range of injuries & illnesses. Seeing how various treatments were delivered, then kindled a desire in him to assist people on their path to recovery.

Adam has completed training in Sports Science & is currently undertaking a Level 5 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Programme. He has been working as our Physiotherapist Assistant complementing the specialist knowledge in neuro rehabilitation.

At evoke we treat any neuro condition including FND, Stroke, spinal cord injury, peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, corticobasal degeneration, ataxia, Parkinson's, etc.
